Door of Opportunity functions as a self directed life services provider. In every aspect of a person's life, they should be able to make their own choices and direct their lives as they choose, as long as their choices are not harmful to themselves or others. Door of Opportunity is responsible for the safe implementation of programs and services that individuals needs and want.

Meaningful Day

Door of Opportunity prefers to refer to the meaningful day as the "Meaningful Life." You will see in every individuals chart, a copy of their meaningful day definition. Our job is to make sure that the people in or program are engaged in work opportunities and community activities that are PRODUCTIVE & MEANINGFUL to the person.

Employment First

Door of Opportunity is an organization that has adopted the "Employment First Philosophy." This means that all individuals receiving services are encouraged and assisted t pursue employment in the community. Work outcomes and initiatives should be considered before planning for other activities and individuals should be able to apply for jobs, and get jobs, just like you and I do.
